Biography - Oliver Haffenden, BBC, UK

Oliver Haffenden is the project leader for DRM at BBC Research. He obtained an MEng with distinction from Cambridge University in 1996. He has worked on DRM since 1998, contributing to standardisation and algorithm development. He led the compliance testing and specification validation exercise within the DRM consortium. He has also worked on digital terrestrial television, playing a key part in the development of the first single-chip receiver for DVB-T. In his current role he leads a team working in areas including receiver testing, algorithm development and recently a demonstration real-time monitoring network for DRM, AM and FM.
